marist men boys seem to have a strange aversion to coats. as the weather has been getting colder it seems to me that more and more of the male student body have been wearing sweatshirts. it has me wondering if they know that coats really do exsist. they are not mythical objects like unicorns and leprechauns. believe me, i know, i have one. so it is my hope that when it actually starts snowing, most of the boys here figure out about coats and start wearing them before they all get the swine. i say, coats are a DO!

….ps scarves for men is a DO too. don’t be afraid….it’s okay. lil’ wayne does it too!

being a fashion major is, among many other things, interesting. i walk into the fashion department every day and see my fellow fashion majors in class, working in the computer lab, the fabric closet, or in meetings with advisors. every day it still amazes me that some of these so called fashion majors are wearing the most heinous outfits i’ve ever seen. i mean, i would rather see someone wear sweat pants and a bag over their head than an over dressed, over done, outfit that might in another universe be considered “trendy” but is in reality, it’s a train wreck.

it’s almost as if learning about the new trends was a disservice to these people. they learn about trends in class and then force them all into on outfit and its awkward, and the phrase, “take the last thing off that you put on before you leave the house”, comes into mind. but… it might have to be changed to take the last 10 things off.

i don’t support the thought that you need to get really dressed up for class. it’s stupid and i’ve never followed it. i say getting over dressed for class is a DON’T.

halloween maybe possibly be the greatest time of year….after thanksgiving. it’s a night that allows you to become anything or anyone in the world. so why, WHY do so many girls insist on being skanks? i mean we go to marist, aren’t most of us sluts every night? i mean come on its halloween…don’t dress up as yourself!

i mean its called underwear because your supposed to wear it UNDER your clothes. or at least a bathrobe? its october. its cold outside.

halloween is about being creative with your costumes, so im not saying dont be slutty (because lets be honest that never wont happen) but if your going to be a slutty at least be original about it. i say that “sexy” police women, fire women, nurse, maid, or assorted slutty version of your favorite disney character is a DON”T.

UGGS or UGGLY?

There is always a great controversy over the UGG boot. Yes, they are not the most attractive member of the footwear family but they are the most comfortable boots i’ve ever worn and they are a girl’s best friend when fighting the cold in “upstate NY”…and let me put an extra stress on GIRL. MUGGs (man UGGs )are not, and never will be socially acceptable.

i believe UGGs are one of those things where you really can’t understand until you try it. So quit hating on the UGG boot there is a reason why so many people wear them. i say UGGs are a DO. View This Poll
